Non Emergency

During non emergency times, when a state of emergency is not declared by the authorities or the imported items are not destined for emergency programmes, what is the usual process to obtain a duties and taxes exemption? Please note that there might be a difference in treatment between the items imported to support the organization in their operations (telecomm material, computers, etc) and the items imported for programme purposes.

National Legislation
This section contains the national legal framework related to the importation of humanitarian aid consignments in non emergency situations. This may include, but is not limited to, the Customs Code of the country.
Organizational Agreements
This section contains detailed information on any bilateral agreements between the organization and the host government, such as a Basic Agreement (Memorandum of Understanding) and/or Working Plans (annual, bi-annual, etc.).
